Cambridge
The university is the heart of Cambridge. Its colleges, churches and museums cover much of the centre, clustering round the river Cam. The beautiful college buildings and their gardens, students on bicycles, punting on the river in summer, all blend to create the peaceful scholarly atmosphere of this fascinating city.
King's College Chapel is one of the most beautiful buildings in England. The great fan-vaulted ceiling, stained glass windows, marvellous light and spaciousness and the magnificent Rubens painting of the 'Adoration of the Magi', all combine to create an astonishing feeling of beauty and peace.
